Program Note:

This short piece was composed for the 60th birthday of my dear friend and University of Oregon Composition Professor, Robert Kyr. Myself and four of Kyr’s previous students composed pieces based on the L’homme Arme theme. My piece presents the theme in four variations and explores musical styles of composers greatly admired by Professor Kyr.
