During the fall semester of 2007, my composer colleagues and I all performed with and wrote pieces for the Pacific Rim Gamelan at the University of Oregon. To quote Dickens’s, A Tale of Two Cites: “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…” God bless the UO Pacific Rim Gamelan, long may you endure!
